Chris Bateman, Head of School
Chris Bateman began work as Oconee Chritian Academy's Head of School in March, 2018.
Mr. Bateman previously served as Head of School at Cathedral Academy in Charleston, SC, where he successfully increased enrollment, strengthened and balanced the budget, improved the academic rigor and curriculum, and increased athletic and fine arts opportunities. At the forefront of his administration at Cathedral was his commitment to maintaining the school’s philosophy of Kingdom education which builds the students’ Biblical worldview through a partnership of the home, church and school.
In addition to serving as a Christian school administrator, Mr. Bateman has also been a teacher, chaplain, alumni director, special events coordinator, and athletic director at Christian Heritage School in Dalton, GA.
Mr. Bateman’s family will be joining him in Seneca this summer. He and his wife Chanda have been married for 23 years, and they have three children, Carley, Cameron, and Chandler.
Scott Glenn, Assistant Principal, Campus Pastor, and Gov’t/Economics
Scott Glenn is the Vice Principal of Academics for Oconee Christian Academy. He has served at Oconee Christian as both a teacher and administrator for over 8 years. He previously served as the youth minister at Bounty Land Baptist Church in Seneca, and as minister of outreach and evangelism at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA.
Scott earned his Associates of Arts degree from Anderson University, a Bachelor of Arts in Math Education from Southern Wesleyan University, and a Masters of Arts degree in Religion and Education from Mid-America Theological Seminary.
He and his wife Jennifer have three children who are Oconee Christian students, Joshua, Sarah Brittany, and Emma. When not at school, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and coaching sports. Scott attends Crossgate Church in Seneca.
Pamela Edgar-Crain, K5-12th Grade Principal
OCA is extremely blessed to have someone of her caliber and experience join our administrative team. She is a native of Seneca, South Carolina. She received her bachelor of science degree in accounting and business education from Southern Wesleyan University, her master’s degree in human resource development from Clemson University, and her Education Specialist degree in secondary school leadership and supervision from Clemson University. She has spent the last thirty-one years at Seneca High School as a teacher and administrator. She is married to her husband Tim and they are active members of Full Gospel Temple Church in Seneca. Mrs. Edgar-Crain will be on campus Tuesday-Thursdays each week.
