Band Program

"God must’ve had a blast. Painting the stripes on the zebra, hanging the stars in the sky, putting the gold in the sunset. What creativity! Stretching the neck of the giraffe, putting the flutter in the mockingbird’s wings, planting the giggle in the hyena. And then, as a finale to a brilliant performance, He made a human who had the unique honour to bear the stamp, In His Image."
.—Max Lucado

"A Christian should use these arts to the glory of God, not just as tracts, mind you, but a things of beauty to the praise of God."
–Francis Schaeffer

New Band Program for 2021-22

Oconee Christian Academy is happy to introduce one of our newest faculty members while announcing the launch of a brand new band program for the 2021-22 Academic School Year. Please join us in welcoming Taylor Neave Gonzalez to the OCA Family. She will be our new Music Teacher/Band Director.

Mrs. Gonzalez is from Seneca and is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor in Music and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. There are several options for getting your child an instrument. We are going to have an instrument donation drive July 12th-15th. During these days, we are asking the community to donate any band instruments that they may have, and we will also be accepting any monetary donations. You may also decide to “rent-to-own” an instrument from Music & Arts in Anderson, SC. There will be more information coming soon for this option.
