New Band Program for 2021-22

Oconee Christian Academy is happy to introduce one of our newest faculty members while announcing the launch of a brand new band program for the 2021-22 Academic School Year. Please join us in welcoming Taylor Neave Gonzalez to the OCA Family. She will be our new Music Teacher/Band Director.
Mrs. Gonzalez is from Seneca and is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor in Music and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. In her free time she loves spending time with family, going camping, and traveling to new places. Mrs. Gonzalez has been playing music for over 10 years and on June 26th, married her "high school sweetheart!"
Program Details
The program will initially launch for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. During this time, they will be learning how to read music, play an instrument, and perform music with their peers. The program is open to both full-time OCA students as well as homeschool students.
Homeschool students interested in participating should contact Admissions at 864-882-6925. Instrument Donation Drive
There are several options for getting your child an instrument. We are going to have an instrument donation drive July 12th-15th. During these days, we are asking the community to donate any band instruments that they may have, and we will also be accepting any monetary donations. You may also decide to “rent-to-own” an instrument from Music & Arts in Anderson, SC. There will be more information coming soon for this option.
